Warsaw Man Faces Charges In 'Pot' Probe

Posted

An eight-month Kosciusko County Drug Task Force investigation led to the arrest of a 22-year-old Warsaw man Wednesday afternoon.

Andrew Lynn Ybarra, of 774 Bunting Lane, Warsaw, was arrested on charges of possession of more than 30 grams of marijuana, a Class C felony, and receiving stolen property. He is being held without bond at the Kosciusko County Jail.

The investigation led the Drug Task Force to Ybarra's vehicle, where approximately 11 pounds of marijuana and an SKS assault rifle reportedly were found.

Further investigation led to a search warrant for a home at 52 E. CR 900S, Claypool, occupied by 42-year-old David Ybarra Sr.

When task force officers searched the home, they found two loaded firearms, body armor and items associated with dealing marijuana.

More charges are expected in this case, and more arrests should result from this investigation in the near future.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department and the Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office assisted the Drug Task Force in the investigation.
