On Sunday at approximately 3:57 a.m., the Kosciusko County Sheriff`s Department received a call from 5891 N. CR 300W in reference to a battery.
KCSD deputies arrived and spoke with the victim, Norman Stutzman.
Stutzman stated he was awakened around 3:30 a.m. by the presence of Tirean Blair, 31, of 2433 N. Grandview Drive, Warsaw, who had entered his bedroom. Stutzman stated Blair had ripped the covers from the bed that he and Chelsae Culp had been sleeping in and proceeded to threaten both individuals verbally.
Stutzman stated that as he exited the bed, Blair punched the side of his face and then proceeded to throw Culp into the adjacent closet. Both victims also explained that Blair punched a mirror as he left the room and then went outside the residence and allegedly damaged a valve stem on Stutzman’s vehicle tire. Officers did document damage to the room, as well as injuries to both victims.
Blair had fled the location, but was later located at his residence by KCSD deputies on Grandview Drive. Blair was taken into custody, but refused to provide a statement on the incident to officers.
Blair’s bond was set at $2,000 and has since bonded out of the Kosciusko County Jail.
