Warsaw Leads Roundup With Win At No. 6 Norwell

Warsaw’s Lady Tigers earned its biggest win of the season to date, beat #6 Norwell 55-53 in Ossian Tuesday night.
Warsaw came back from a seven point defecit in the second quarter at halftime, and trailed by two after three quarters before coming back in the fourth period to pull out the win.
Dayton Groninger led the Lady Tigers with 14 points, with Madi Graham and Vicki Harris adding 10 points each.
Warsaw will take a 3-3 record into Saturday’s 2 p.m. matinee with Michigan City in the Tiger Den.

Swimming
Tuesday in Syracuse
Wawasee’s girls swim team moved to 2-0 in the Northern lakes Conference by virtue of a 127-56 win over Elkhart Memorial. The boys went to 1-1 in the NLC after claiming a 119-64 decision over the Chargers.
The Lady Warriors claimed victory in 11 of 12 events. Bre Robinson, Paige Miller and Shelby Adams each claimed two individual wins. The trio, along with Kayla Hershberger, Mikala Mawhorter and Kendra Miller, were all part of at least two winning relay teams each.
Wawasee’s boys were almost as domnant, winning 10 of 12 events.  Brady Robinson, Spencer Naugler and Logan Brugh each won a pair of individual races and were part of two first place relays.
Each team returns to NLC competition Tuesday when Concord visits Wawasee.

Warsaw dropped a conference wrestling match to Elkhart Memorial 43-21 Tuesday night.
Tigers recording wins included Kameron Hile, Kyle Hatch, Spencer Gariss, Anthony Penn and Rory Nolin.
The team will travel Saturday to the Valparaiso Invitational, scheduled for a 9 a.m. EST start.
