A Warsaw house was damaged when an attic caught fire at 1:42 a.m. Sunday.
The fire at the home of the Henry Goble family at 1401 E. Clark St. apparently started from faulty wiring in the attic, said Warsaw Fire Chief Ken Shepherd.
The fire spread to insulation and forced firefighters to cut down part of the ceiling to battle the blaze. Eighteen firefighters were on the scene for 1-1/2 hours.
The family was home at the time of the fire, but no one was injured.
Shepherd estimated damage to the home at $10,000.
