CULVER — The Warsaw boys golf team kept rolling along Saturday, winning the Culver Military Academy Invitational. Shooting a 305 on the par-71 course at Mystic Hills in Culver, the Warsaw Tigers had a seven-stroke cushion against second-place NorthWood. Defending state champion Tyler Ostrom was the medalist of the match, shooting a one-under 70, while Warsaw’s Jon Schram was fourth with a 76. Also for the Tigers, Tim Ahlersmeyer finished ninth with a 79, while Bennett Hollar shot an 80 and Jonny Hollar came in with an 86. The Triton Trojans shot a 323 at the meet, finishing fourth, while Wawasee was 11th with a 339. The Tigers will be at Plymouth Country Club to take on Plymouth and Elkhart Memorial. Traveling to Fort Wayne to take on North Side, the Manchester baseball team lost a doubleheader, 12-2 and 6-3. In the opening game, which ended in five innings, the Squires committed six errors, giving up eight unearned runs in the process. In the second game, Manchester matched North Side’s eight hits, but struggled to get the timely ones.
