If you don't have Comcast and a digital cable box, it might be time to find a friend with one.
Because of an agreement with the Indiana High School Athletic Association and Comcast, the Warsaw/North Central boys basketball game will air only on channel 111 through Comcast locally.According to employees at the Comcast office in Warsaw, Comcast provides cable to 50,000 subscribers in Akron, Burket, Etna Green, Mentone, Silver Lake, Warsaw and Winona Lake and other parts of Kosciusko and Fulton counties.
Of those 50,000 subscribers, about 85 percent have digital cable boxes and will be able to get channel 111.
Those in the county with Mediacom, DirecTV and Dish Network will be unable to watch the game.
Local network affiliates, like WSBT, WSJV and WNDU, are unable to carry the game.
For those with questions, the local Comcast office number redirects to an automated system.
The agreement with Comcast and the IHSAA expires this spring.
