Warsaw Education Foundation Hosts Quiz Bowl March 25

Warsaw Education Foundation, a not-for-profit organization committed to enhancing educational opportunities in Warsaw Community Schools, will hold their Annual Community Quiz Bowl fundraiser March 25 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the WCHS Tiger Den.The Quiz Bowl features teams from area businesses and organizations who pay to compete, answering questions this year on academics, 2007 year in review, the '80s and "All Things Hoosier."
The Warsaw Education Foundation provides funding, through community support, to the educators of Warsaw Community Schools for the creation and implementation of enriching academic opportunities for students of WCS. Through the Red Apple Grants program, the Foundation awards grants to WCS teachers for innovative classroom projects.
The Foundation also provides funds for Ed-Com Expo, annual chess tournaments, NEW Opportunities Workshop for Women, Partners in Education business/school partnership and the Honor an Educator program. The Foundation recognizes academic excellence through programs such as the annual High School Academic Reception and Teacher of the Year community billboards.
Last year, the Quiz Bowl raised more than $6,000 for students in Warsaw schools.
