Warsaw Education Foundation Awards Red Apple Grants

The Warsaw Education Foundation awarded over $9,000 in Red Apple Grant funds to eight Warsaw Community Schools educators representing six schools.

Their students are exploring forensic science, gardens, geometry skills and engineering, according to a news release from WEF.

Red Apple Grants are awarded to teachers for classroom materials as well as schoolwide projects that advance enrichment opportunities, support innovative and inventive teaching and promote academic exploration.

The WEF Board of Directors thanks businesses, churches and community organizations that participated in Quiz Bowl 2023 as that support makes the grants possible.

Red Apple Grants were awarded to Daniel Ayers, Warsaw Community High School, Math XL for Geometry, $918.06; Sarah Niemi, Washington Elementary, Green Energy: Engineering Solutions with Snap Circuits, $1,312.72; Zachariah Harding, Warsaw Area Career Center, Robotics Technology Development, $1,250; Deb McClintock, Harrison Elementary, Power Up Our Classroom Raised Bed Gardening, $785; Amy Klinger, Madison Elementary, Filling Young Reader Toolboxes, $747; Rachel Sudhoff, Harrison Elementary, Breaking the Barriers of Reading, $1,500; Traci Hamilton, WCHS, Manipulatives for Enhancing Forensic Science, $1423.10; and Dindy Snyder, Jefferson Elementary, Kimochis Curriculum: SEL Learning for All, $1,163.70.
