Warsaw Deer Task Force Announces Archer Infomation

Posted

Interested Archers in the Warsaw Deer Task Force (DTF) program may apply to participate in the deer reduction effort for 2023-24.
Over the years, offering the opportunity for new members to be added into the program has been very positive, according to a news release from DTF chair and Councilman Jeff Grose.
Veterans in the program, along with others interested in applying for the first time, must apply on the city website. Like last year, the application process is online. The link can be found on the city website by going to the Warsaw Police Department page and then finding the Deer Task Force Link.
Applications must be completed before the only required training date on Aug. 31. The DTF will evaluate the impact this policy has on the program after the 2023-24 reduction effort.
The only DTF archer training is 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 31 at the WPD. The task force will invite interested archers to qualify in a shooting range using their own equipment for the reduction efforts this season. Archers need to bring archery equipment and be prepared to qualify in shooting range.
