Finding a wife in the 19th century was a bit different than it is today. “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” presents a unique take on the search long before the Internet and mass transportation. Warsaw Community High School Drama Department will present the musical comedy Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center auditorium. Tickets are on sale in the PAC box office from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays, or by calling 574-371-5040. Student and senior citizen tickets are $6, and adults are $10. “It really is a family show,” said Director Dana McAfee. “It really is for families.” The toe-tapping music will have audiences humming along, and people will remember songs like “Sobbing Women” and “Wonderful Day” after they leave, she said. According to information provided, the story follows a mountain man, Adam Pontipee, as he travels to town one day to find himself a wife to take care of him and his seven brothers. Millie doesn’t find out about the other brothers until she arrives on the mountain, already married to Adam.
