Twenty-nine veterans were honored in person at Warsaw Christian School’s Veterans Day chapel service. Additional veterans, who were family members or friends of students, were pictured in a slideshow indicating service from all branches of the military from World War I to the present. Ms. Bowdler’s fifth-grade class performed a skit telling the history of how the ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ was written, and another about what a veteran is. The students sang the ‘Salute to the Services,’ a medley of each military song. ‘It’s a Grand Old Flag’ was performed on the flute by second-grader Adrian Bowdler. Patriotic songs served as special tribute to those who sacrificed to have and maintain American freedom. Pictured is the fifth-grade class.
