Warsaw Community Schools will be represented at the 20th FAME Festival this weekend at the Grand Wayne Center in Fort Wayne and March 24 at the Honeywell Center in Wabash.

The combined Washington and Madison choirs, directed by Mr. Jay Bolduc, will perform at the Grand Wayne Center at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The combined Leesburg and Jefferson choirs, directed by Mrs. Judy Kessler, will sing at 11:40 a.m.

The Eisenhower choir, directed by Mrs. Robin Merrick, will sing at FAME's newest venue, the Honeywell Center in Wabash March 24.

Art students of Mrs. Martha Beeson and Miss Maggie Thompson, representing Washington and Jefferson, will have entries in the FAME art exhibit at the Grand Wayne Center. The cultural theme for this year's FAME Festival is the arts and crafts and music from African American traditions.

Those attending the festival can participate in hands-on projects in the Imaginarium, hear and see visiting artists and musicians, visit an instrument playground, hear other performing groups and enjoy the large art exhibit.

The Preservation Hall Jazz Band will be playing Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Grand Wayne Center as a part of FAME.

Admission to the FAME Festival is $3 for adults. Children under the age of 18 are admitted free.
