Recently, the Warsaw Area Career Center Business Professionals of America Chapter sent six students to the BPA National Leadership Conference in Chicago.
Antonio Mantey was the Indiana state president this year, and he worked at the conference as a voting delegate and liaison to the Indiana State BPA advisor.
Having qualified in the Indiana state competitive events, the other five students represented Indiana as they competed at the national level.
Every one of the Warsaw BPA competitors made it to the stage at the awards session with these national rankings: – In Fundamentals of Web Design, JD French ranked first – In Advanced Accounting, Tyler Ostrom ranked fifth – In Economic Research Project Team, Connor Singrey and Alek Jansen ranked fifth – In Entrepreneurship, Alek Jansen ranked eighth – In Banking & Finance, Braxton Larson ranked ninth.
Steve Waldeck, WACC co-advisor, said, “Not many students can say they have ranked nationally in any activity, but we had every single student we sent to nationals place in the top 10 – these students did an excellent job representing our school and community!”
