MISHAWAKA — The Warsaw boys tennis team cruised to a 4-1 victory at Mishawaka Marian Monday evening. Winning for the Tigers were Kyle Wettschurack and Caleb Ray at No. 2 and 3 singles, respectively, as well as the No. 1 doubles team of Evan Miller and Nic Jansen and the No. 2 tandem of Will Petro and Nikos Schlitt. In a four-team match Monday, the 18th-ranked Rochester girls golf team got three wins by shooting a 172 on the Sycamore Golf Club’s course. Also at the meet, Southwood shot a 187, North Miami finished with a 211 and Manchester shot a 250. Rochester’s Karsten Lingenfelter was the medalist with a 37 on the par-36 course, as Manchester’s low score was Nina Smith’s 54, as the Lady Squires were without their No. 1 player, junior Claire Barnett. The Lady Squires are at Rozella Ford today to take on Triton, then faces Whitko, Tippecanoe Valley and North Miami at Sycamore Golf Club Thursday.
