MIDDLEBURY — The Northridge boys swim team wrapped up its 12th-straight sectional championship Saturday in its home pool, while Wawasee finished fourth. The 10th-ranked Northridge Raiders won the sectional title with 540 points, followed by Elkhart Central (382), Concord (347), Wawasee (221) and Elkhart Memorial (191), rounding out the top five. For Wawasee, it had two relays finish fourth, as the 200 free (Caige Wahlgren, Austin Krizman, Logan Brugh, Zac Hershberger) did so in 1:35.63 and 400 free (Logan Haessig, Wahlgren, Brugh, Hershberger) was fourth in 3:28.69. BOYS BASKETBALL Saturday in North Manchester The Manchester Squires wrapped up their Three Rivers Conference schedule with a 49-46 home win over Rochester Saturday night. The victory ends Manchester’s TRC season at 6-1, which was second to Tippecanoe Valley’s 7-0. Against Rochester, seniors Clayton Petrie and Claudel Dickantone led the way, scoring 17 and 12 points, respectively. The 13-5 Squires host Argos Tuesday night. GYMNASTICS Saturday in Lafayette The Wawasee gymnastics team finished seventh at Saturday’s 14-team Broncho Invitational at Lafayette Jefferson High School. Plymouth won the competition with 101.65 points, while Wawasee tallied 93.25. Individually, Wawasee’s Emily Allen finished 10th overall with a score of 32.275.
