SYRACUSE — The Wawasee boys basketball team lost its final regular season home game Friday night against Fort Wayne South. Falling 73-55, Wawasee did get four guys into double-digit scoring, led by Gage Reinhard’s 15. Also for Wawasee, Jake Hutchinson and Alex Clark each netted 12, followed by Jeff Moore’s 11. On a night when Manchester’s Sam Howard (boys basketball), Norm Hudson (wrestling) Gerold “Doe” Faudree (athletic director), Megan Eckert (girls basketball) and its 1997-98 regional championship girls basketball team was inducted into the school’s hall of fame, the boys basketball team lost 66-41 against Columbia City. The hall of fame ceremony was held during halftime of the game, but the boys basketball team couldn’t get a win against the Eagles, who were led by Daniel Woll’s 21 points. For Manchester, Claudel Dickantone led the way with 23 points and Neil Underwood netted 10. The 5-13 Squires are at Argos Tuesday.
