Warriors Close Out NLC Season With Loss At Plymouth

PLYMOUTH — After their match was cut short Thursday due to lightning, the Wawasee and Plymouth boys soccer teams resumed action Saturday in Plymouth.
Resuming the Northern Lakes Conference finale for both teams with 2:34 remaining in the first half, the host Rockies went on to defeat the Warriors 4-1.
The loss ended Wawasee’s season at 1-5-1 in the NLC and 4-7-4 overall.
In defeat, Alex Doll supplied the score for the Warriors.
Up next for both teams is Sectional 10 back at Plymouth, as Wawasee faces NorthWood Tuesday at 5 p.m., followed by the Rockies against the winner of today’s match between Warsaw and the Culver Military Academy.

Friday in South Bend
At Trinity Friday, the Lakeland Christian Academy boys soccer team had its regular season come to a close with a 7-0 loss. The 1-15 Cougars face Bremen in Sectional 41 Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Argos.

Girls Soccer
Saturday in Berne
Outshooting South Adams 21-5 Saturday, the Manchester girls soccer team ended its regular season with a 3-0 victory in Berne. Bethany Collett had two goals in the victory and Elizabeth Anguilm scored the third. Ending its regular season at 6-9-1, the Lady Squires begin Sectional 38 play today at 6 p.m. against Peru at Eastbrook High School.

In its 21-14 Three Rivers Conference home loss Friday, the Manchester football team got 116 rushing yards from senior running back Jacob Casper.
