FORT WAYNE – The Wawasee boys track team scored 10.5 points and was last among the 17 teams competing at the North Side Relays Saturday. The 4x200 relay team of Cole VanLue, Michael Katzer, Jacob Moore and Paul Mendoza was fifth in 1:40.86. VanLue was seventh in the 100, and Luke Griner eighth in the 300 hurdles for Wawasee. The 800 sprint medley relay team of Jacob Moore, Katzer, Alec Rosbrugh and VanLue was sixth. Brady Robinson cleared 10 feet in the pole vault, good for a tie for sixth. Paul Mendoza was ninth in the long jump, Stephen Possell was 11th in the shot put, and Dylan Elpusan was seventh in the discus. Wawasee returns to Northern Lakes Conference competition on Thursday, hosting Elkhart Memorial and NorthWood at 5 p.m.
