GRANGER – Wawasee’s boys golf team earned a win and a loss Monday; Penn had the low score of the day with a 168 to Wawasee’s 173 and LaVille’s 189. Cal Heinisch tied for medalist honors with Penn’s Zach Hale, each managing to shoot 40 in the cold, rain and wind at Knollwood Country Club. “I thought we played pretty well considering the conditions being wet and cold,” said Wawasee head coach Steve Coverstone. “And that we had never been on the course before. Good round by Cal and freshman Dillon Drake, who played pretty well with a 47.” The Warriors (7-2) return to Northern Lakes Conference play when they take on Plymouth and NorthWood at McCormick Creek Golf Course in Nappanee Wednesday.
