MILFORD – A Cromwell man who drove a car into two garages, causing over $100,000 in damage and injuring four passengers, fled the scene and a warrant for his arrest is being sought.

The accident happened at about 1:29 p.m. Sunday on East Camp Mack Road, Milford.

According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department accident report, Angela M. Thorn, East CR 1150N, Milford, said she was traveling west on Camp Mack Road from CR 150E and became tired so she let her brother-in-law, Brandon Taylor, 27, of 9632 E. Genesee Lane, Cromwell, drive her 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix. Thorn said she fell asleep, but when she woke up they had crashed through two garages. The garages belong to Jana Strollery, 535 E. Camp Mack Road, Milford, and Michael H. Levy, 525 E. Camp Mack Road, Milford. Other property damaged in the accident belongs to Brad C. Robinson, 525 E. Camp Mack Road, Milford, and NIPSCO, Merrillville.

Taylor then fled the scene of the accident, she said.

The owners of the damaged garages were contacted.

As of this morning, Taylor had not been arrested but a request for a warrant for his arrest will be forwarded to the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office.

Horn reported she didn’t have insurance on the car at the time. She had her two daughters and a male friend in the back seats.

Passenger Richard L. Harwick, 28, EMS W26 Lane, North Webster, reported pain to the upper arm but refused medical attention.

Thorn complained of pain to her chest. Her daughters did not have any visible injuries, but Serenidy Lung, 9, complained of chest pain and Makenzie Muston, 7, complained of back pain.
