Walter Westerman, 83, Warsaw, passed away at 2:50 a.m. Oct. 8, 2015, in Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. He was born Aug. 14, 1932, in Warsaw, to Walter Sr. and Pauline Kauffman Westerman. He was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post 49 and the Moose Lodge, all of Warsaw. Surviving are his children, Mary (and spouse Larry) Glass, Urbana, Ohio; Betty Westerman, Fort Wayne; Paula Bryie, Mishawaka; and Johnny (and spouse Londa) Lewis, Warsaw; 13 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren; and siblings Vera Sittler, Greer, S.C., and Sarah (and spouse Gary) Lichtenwalter Mann, Faxwell, Mich. He was preceded in death by his dear girlfriend, Betty Shaw. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating.
