Walter W. Renier, 81, of Warsaw, died at 4 a.m. March 3, 2008, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born June 13, 1926, in Warsaw, to Leo and Bertha Welker Renier. On June 24, 1950, in Columbia City, he married Joy A. Grable, who survives.
He was a lifetime Warsaw resident. He worked at Zimmer and the City of Warsaw, and was a member of Warsaw Church of God. He enjoyed landscaping and took pride in his own property and the landscaping customers he had worked for over the years. He was an avid Warsaw Tiger sports fan and often quoted statistics from many years earlier.
Also surviving are a son, Gary (and spouse Laurie) Renier, Warsaw; two daughters, Debbie (and spouse Kim) Frauhiger, Warsaw, and Anita (and spouse Dan) Targgart, Columbia City; five grandchildren; and a sister, Annabelle Armey, Warsaw.
Services are private with the Rev. Jerry Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
No calling is planned.
