Local Attorney Wayne Walston served as one of several featured speakers at the Annual Indiana Elder Law Conference held in Indianapolis on October 25-26. The conference was sponsored by the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum and was attended by more than 150 Indiana practicing attorneys. Walston presented a white paper entitled "How To Build or Enhance Your Elder Law Practice", and also served on a faculty panel examining law practice development.
Walston commented: "The opportunity to address the Annual Elder Law Conference for the third consecutive year as a featured speaker is a great honor to me and to my law firm. The two day conference featured many of the foremost elder law attorneys in Indiana, as well as state officials closely aligned with oversight of health care issues of vital importance to our clients."
Walston is a member of the law firm of Miner Lemon & Walston, LLP, of Warsaw. He focuses his practice on elder law, Veterans Benefits, estate planning and Medicaid planning for the elderly and persons with disabilities. Walston is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and serves as Chair of the Government & Public Affairs Committee of the Indiana Chapter of NAELA. He is a member of the Veterans Benefits Institute and the Academy of Special Needs Planners. Walston frequently writes and speaks on matters affecting the elderly, Veterans and the disabled.
