Walls Rise At Daniel's Place As Welcome Home Campaign Builds Momentum

Posted

NORTH MANCHESTER - The future home of Daniel’s Place is taking shape as walls rise at the construction site on West 7th Street in North Manchester, marking a major milestone in the Welcome Home Campaign.
What is now a construction site will soon become a welcoming space where guests can build friendships, participate in meaningful programming, enjoy overnight accommodations and experience a true sense of belonging, according to a news release from Daniel’s Place. The new home will also provide families and caregivers with trusted support and opportunities for rest.
The project has been built one board at a time, just as Daniel’s Place has grown one family, one volunteer, one prayer and one gift at a time.
As construction moves closer to completion, the Welcome Home Campaign is entering its next chapter. Community support remains essential not only for completing and furnishing the home, but also for sustaining the programs, services and opportunities that will take place within it for years to come, the release states.
Supporters may continue contributing directly to Daniel’s Place to help meet current operational and program needs. Those who wish to make a long-term investment in the organization’s future may also give through the Community Foundation of Wabash County.
The Daniel’s Place Endowment provides permanent, long-term support for the mission, while the Daniel’s Place Fund offers a non-permanent giving option that can support ongoing operations and organizational needs. Donors can visit CFWabash.org and search for “Daniel’s Place Endowment” or “Daniel’s Place Fund.”
Every gift, regardless of size or purpose, helps ensure that Daniel’s Place remains a welcoming home where guests are treated with dignity, families can breathe, friendships can grow and every person who walks through the door knows they belong, according to the release.
Daniel's Place is a nonprofit respite care organization dedicated to providing safe, engaging, and excellent care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while giving caregivers the opportunity to rest, recharge, and continue providing exceptional care at home. Through person-centered supports and a welcoming, home-like environment, Daniel's Place enriches lives, strengthens families, and builds a more inclusive community.
