SYRACUSE – Waldo H. Bostel, 82, of Barbee Lake, and formerly of Huntington, passed away Feb. 26, 2012, in Lakeland Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Milford.
He was born Dec. 12, 1929, in Huntington, to William and Dorothy Meier Bostel. On Dec. 22, 1950, he married Ruth Tinkle, who died in 2010.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He retired as a machinist at DePuy. He loved fishing. He was a member of North Webster United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Carol (and spouse Rex) Werstler, Leesburg, and Priscilla (and spouse Thames) Goon, Warsaw; a son, Richard (and spouse Shelly) Fields, Plainfield; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and a grandson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse, with Pastor Dennis Bollenbacher officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery Mock Addition.
