Wakarusa Man Airlifted To Hospital After Thursday CrashA Wakarusa man was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital after a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning.

At approximately 4:36 a.m. Thursday, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of West CR 800N and North CR 800W in Prairie Township.

The preliminary results of the investigation indicate that Joan Miller, 19, Akron, driving a 2002 Toyota Camry, was stopped at the intersection of West CR 800N and North CR 800W facing east. The vehicle then entered the intersection and collided with a 2010 Honda VT1  motorcycle, driven by Jared Grosswiler, 23, Wakarusa.  

Grosswiler was flown by Samaritan Air Ambulance to Parkview Regional in Fort Wayne.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Fatal Accident Crash Team (F.A.C.T.) was called to the scene for further investigation into the crash.

Other responding agencies to the crash were Atwood Fire Department, Lutheran EMS and Samaritan Air Ambulance.
