Wagon Wheel jr. Announces ‘Zombie Night’ Musical

Posted
Wagon Wheel Jr., the youth theatre branch of Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts, announced its upcoming Halloween show will be “Zombie Night!”
The production takes the stage at 2 p.m. Oct. 29 and Oct. 30 at Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts.
This doo-wopping musical pays tribute to classic horror flicks like “Night of the Living Dead,” “The Return of the Living Dead” and “Cemetery High,” according to a news release from the Wagon Wheel.
Howie, Louise, Gary and Phoebe are in charge of “Zombie Night,” the annual senior class party. They locate an abandoned farmhouse by an old graveyard, once occupied by the creepy Dr. Thanatos, who tried to re-animate the dead.
Vivian and Anne show up, determined to destroy the party. Enter a grim farmer who warns the kids that it’s dangerous to stay. We soon discover why – zombies.
While the decorations go up, the zombies shuffle from the graveyard. The spoof races to a spine-chilling and hilarious finale, the news release states.
Each performance will be preceded by a public open house at 12:30 p.m.
The fall-themed party will feature a costume contest, games, prizes and more.
Anyone who has a ticket to the show is invited to attend the open house.
The cast features many Wagon Wheel Jr. veterans, as well as several newcomers to the Wagon Wheel stage.
The next show – the title of which is to be announced – is scheduled for Jan. 28 and 29. Auditions for that performance will occur in December, with more details to be announced.
Tickets for “Zombie Night” are $12 and are available online at wagonwheelcenter.org, over the phone at 574-267-8041, or in person at the box office at 2515 E. Center St., Warsaw.
