A Wabash man is in serious condition after a Monday afternoon accident at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Ind. 15.
Howard S. Ogan, 57, Wabash, was traveling northbound on Ind. 15 when he reportedly pulled in front of a 1998 Chevy Venture driven by Gloria Martinez, 30, East Market Street, Warsaw.According to Martinez, she attempted to avoid a collision, but Ogan's vehicle hit the front driver's side of Martinez's vehicle.
Ogan's truck continued forward and hit a 2006 Acura TL, driven by Kelly S. Hanlin, 43, East CR 500N, Leesburg, who was stopped in traffic.
Warsaw Police and Fire departments responded to the accident, along with the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department Fatal/Alcohol Crash Team and Multi-Township EMS.
Indiana State Police also assisted in closing down the U.S. 30 westbound ramp.
The fire department used extrication equipment to get Ogan and his wife, Dorenee Ogan, 49, out of the truck.
Warsaw Fire Department chief of training Rob Barker said both of the Ogans were extricated in 25 minutes.
The Ogans were airlifted by Samaritan Helicopter to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Howard was listed in serious condition this morning, while Dorenee was listed in fair condition.
