Voters Reminded Of Registration Deadline, Early Voting

Posted
Tuesday was National Voter Registration Day, but voter registration doesn’t end until Oct. 11.

“Government works best when its citizens are active and engaged,” said Secretary of State Holli Sullivan in a news release. “I encourage all Hoosiers to use this day to make sure they are registered and that their voter information is up to date. Registering only takes a few minutes and can be done online at any time.”

Citizens can register to vote by visiting IndianaVoters.com or can submit an application to register in person at their local county clerk's office, the news release from Sullivan’s office states.

IndianaVoters.com also allows Hoosiers to confirm their voter registration, look up their polling place, get driving directions to their polling location, find out who's on their ballot, track their absentee ballot application and contact local election officials.

Voters can verify their registration by calling the Kosciusko County Clerk’s Office at 574-372-2332, option 1, or visiting www.indianavoters.com, according to a news release from the Clerk’s Office.

Early voting begins Oct. 12 in the Kosciusko County Justice Building from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Also, the following Saturdays, voters can vote in the Justice Building and at North Webster Community Center: Oct. 29 and Nov. 5. Justice Building Saturday hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; North Webster Saturday hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Early voting ends at noon on Nov. 7.

Voting by mail has already begun. Voters can apply online at www.indianavoters.com or by calling the Clerk's Office at 574-372-2332, option 1, to request an application to vote by mail. Ballots will be mailed out daily beginning Sept. 21 and ending Oct. 28. Application to vote by mail deadline will be by 11:59 p.m. Oct. 27.
