Vote Obama

Editor, Times-Union:

President Bush and his administration has this country in a terrible mess, not only here but worldwide.

The war goes on, but he and John McCain ignore the fact we still are seeing soldiers coming home badly wounded and in coffins, plus a whole lot of Iraqi people still dying and badly wounded - women and children, too. They brag about the surge working but it hasn't helped enough to matter much - they know that.

How anybody watching the two of them hugging and laughing the last few months could still vote Republican is beyond me.

Do you think McCain can turn his back on his old friend and cancel and veto Bush's policies and still look him in the face? Still invite him to the White House, etc.? Meet him at all the big rallies? Think, man, think: McCain will have to put up with his old buddy butting in.

I don't believe all the baloney we hear from the likes of Ann Coulter, Brit Hume and other anti-Democrats. Sen. Obama is a good man. Abe Lincoln and others had little foreign experience and little military experience. But Abe did quite well as a commander-in-chief and I doubt if he ever got overseas much, since it took a week to get there.

Vote for Obama. You will be glad you did.
