Editor, Times-Union: Before voting Nov. 4, everyone in District 22 should educate themselves about the three candidates running for the State House of Representatives. On Oct. 13 Democrat David Kolbe, Republican Curt Nisly and Independent Michael Stinfer took part in the Fall 2014 Candidates Forum in Warsaw. Those who were not able to attend in person can view a small portion of the event on InkFreeNews: (http://www.inkfreenews.com/2014/10/14/candidates-for-state-representative-answer-questions/). After listening to all three candidates, there is no question in my mind that David Kolbe is the best qualified to represent our district. His background as rule-of-law teacher, lawyer and prosecutor makes Kolbe the best candidate to stand up in the legislature and represent our district. Kolbe’s responses to the questions assured me that he will work for all of the people in the district, regardless of their political party or social standing. The responses of the other two candidates made it clear that they are encumbered by their political agendas and that they lack sufficient experience in law and government to hit the ground running if elected. Please think carefully about who you would trust to serve the best interests of all of the people who live in our district. I believe that you will come to the same decision as I did. Please take the time to vote Nov. 4 and cast your vote for David Kolbe. Bill Morton Syracuse, via email
