Recently, a letter to the editor appeared in the Times Union suggesting that the best way to “... protect America” is to vote Republican. I posit that the best way to protect America is to vote for the best person running for the particular office they are seeking. There is nothing magical about being a Republican or Democrat, by the way I generally vote conservative, or Republican, and currently serve as a duly elected Republican on the Winona Town Council.
Anyway, I digress, the topic at hand is how to protect America. Quality people in offices that match up with their skills is one of the many ways we help unite America. Partisan politics has not in the past, will not today and will never in the future help America or Americans.
So ... come your time to vote, either by mail or in person, please vote for the best person for the office they are seeking. I intend to vote a split ticket and hopefully see Kosciusko County be more bipartisan and less sectarian.
