Editor, Times-Union: It is my sincere pleasure to endorse Russell Reahard for Indiana State Representative in House District 18. I have gotten the opportunity to personally know Russ over the past two years, and what I have seen from him deserves praise. Russ Reahard is a man of great integrity, with robust principles and a heart of gold. He demonstrated his leadership by serving as pastor at South Pleasant United Methodist Church for eight years. He showed his empathy while grieving with people during their worst times and rejoicing with them during their best times. He embodied the principles of the office that he held to the people that he was called to lead with unrelenting steadfastness. During the time that I have known him, he operated a weekly Bread Ministry to Kosciusko and Wabash counties, delivering thousands of loaves to a dozen local food pantries. Russ did all of that humbly, without boasting or shining a light on himself when he ran for state representative two years ago because he’s not a politician. Russ Reahard isn’t interested in doing the will of Indianapolis. He won’t cave to special interests. Russell Reahard wants to represent our values to Indy, not represent Indy to District 18.
