Vote Conservative

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:

To Indiana's true, conservative Republicans: If we want to go more blue in the next election than we did in this past election, then stay on the same course you are currently on. But, if you want to steer a different course and make headway in gaining back the momentum for our strong traditional family values, then vote different, or do I dare say, against, the way our local party politics has always gone.

We must stick to our guns (in more ways than one) on our conservative values, and by that I don't just mean the economy. We must stay strong on family values. We must continue to have a pro-life agenda and a pro-heterosexual marriage platform. We must continue to stand for Judeo-Christian values or we will most definitely go bluer than we did this past November.

If you want to stay the same course, then so be it, but don't be surprised when we continue to stay a blue state. You will have asked for it. America's freedom is at stake. The Lord says, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." (Galatians 5:1) Compromising our values is a "yoke of slavery" and it is what lulled us to sleep in the last election.

For this reason I am asking our county precinct committeemen and women to support Jeremiah Heierman to be our next Republican Party chairman in Kosciusko County. Jeremiah is a young man who is first and foremost committed to God and to his wife and children. He will bring a fresh perspective to our local party and will help us in regaining the ground on Judeo-Christian values in this county, this state and across the nation.

We have many great people involved in our local Republican Party and they have been for years. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your work and dedication over the years. But now, at this crucial time in our country, I ask you, no actually, I urge you, please allow someone new to come in. Jeremiah will help in leading us positively into this 21st century.

Jeremiah is a man of God seeking God's direction as opposed to man's direction. We need a man like this. I know not all of the precinct committeemen and women are planning on coming out for the chairmanship vote on Saturday, but I urge you to please change your plans and come out for the vote. To all of you I urge you to please vote your conscience and your values and not your pocketbooks or the way the party slate is asking that you go. Please stop letting someone else control your vote and your party. We need a change and Jeremiah Heierman is the change that is needed. Please come out and vote for Jeremiah Heierman.
