I would like to congratulate the WCHS girls volleyball coach for being Idiot of the Year.
I am a parent and member of this community who is very disappointed in a decision made. You see, Warsaw prides itself in supporting and building up the character of our children. I'd like to thank you, coach, for doing such a great job with Kendra Blue.
Just to inform our outstanding school administration, teachers, coaches and community leaders, Kendra Blue decided to stick to her heart and serve Christ on a missions trip that just happened to be the same week of volleyball tryouts. Guess someone at the school didn't think highly enough of this young lady to allow her to try out any other week.
Our community that prides itself of its Christian values taught Kendra you can't possibly play volleyball and still serve God. They also taught Kendra that sports is more important then your morals, beliefs, and serving our Lord and Savior. Who made this decision? And how long are we as a community going to continue to allow our great school administration to take away the small amount of time our kids have to rest in the summer, take trips, be with friends and just enjoy still being young?
Anyone who knows Kendra is well aware of what an incredible volleyball player she is. To the WCHS coach - you may not know or care, but it is your loss. People aren't set in stone. Rules should not be set in stone. And to Kendra - we are so very proud of you, honey. Your reward will come and your reward is great.
