Sacred Heart students competed in an essay contest about vocations. The theme for this year was ‘Why are Vocations to the Priesthood important?’ The members of the Sacred Heart Vocations Committee read all the essays and then selected a winner from each grade level. The Knights of Columbus Council 45611 have provided a cash prize of $10 each to the winners for the last several years. The winners (L to R) were: Karissa Meyers, Sarah Johnson, Megan Dawson, Brock Hogenson, Jarod Ilada, Marie Frazzetta and Andrew Ross. Pictured with the winners are: Bob List, Knights of Columbus representative; Father Phil DeVolder, pastor; and Denise Wack, Vocations Committee representative.
