GOSHEN – Vivian B. Holderbaum, 90, of Syracuse, died July 29, 2013, in her residence.
She was born April 5, 1923, in Goshen, to Dewey Lynn and Zelda Spry Martin. On Dec. 20, 1941, she married Milo E. Holderbaum, who died April 25, 2001.
A longtime Goshen resident, she was a member of People’s Bible Church, where she showed her love for others by praying for them.
She assisted her husband in his home construction business.
She loved being a homemaker and caring for her children and grandchildren. In her younger years she enjoyed camping and fishing.
Surviving are two sons, Robert (and spouse Debbie) and Jack (and spouse Evelyn) Holderbaum, all of Syracuse; a daughter, Bonnie (and spouse Frank) Kahn, Leesburg; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, John Ware; and three brothers, Cleo Martin and Richard and Harry Junior Ware.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at People’s Bible Church, Benton, with Pastor John Randolph officiating. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
