Visiting Kosciusko

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:
Did you know that every year, thousands of people visit Kosciusko County for both business and pleasure spending over $87,600,000 within our county? You can bring your store front virtually to visitors outside of the country by advertising in the Kosciusko County Visitors Guide. The demand for the 2012 Visitor Guide was phenomenal with 60,000 printed we have currently distributed over 55,000 of the guides.

The guide is mailed to leads generated from advertising placed in Midwest Living, Chicago Tribune, Indianapolis Monthly, Indiana State Travel Guide, both state and regional websites, as well as group tour and meeting publications. The guide is also distributed at all of the plazas on the 80/90 Toll Road, at the State’s Welcome Centers, and at Visitor Centers throughout Indiana. The Visitor Guide also serves as a resource for visitors already in the county, as well as local residents, and is distributed at our tourism partners’ facilities (accommodations, dining, attractions, etc.), provided at major festivals and events, including CCAC and Grace College athletic events, inserted into the Times-Union and Mail Journal, and is available at the Kosciusko County Visitor Center.

Again this year the staff at the Kosciusko County Convention & Visitors Bureau will be undertaking the ad sales for the 2013 Guide. The purpose of this change is to allow us to cut costs so we can increase the print quantity to at least 65,000 and to add additional pages as revenue permits. We are so excited to announce that last year’s designer Terry Julien, from Idesign in Winona Lake, will be at the helm once again. We received numerous compliments about the clean and elegant look of the 2012 guide and plan to continue this theme into 2013.

Attached are information sheets providing details on ad costs, design templates and listing information. Lisa Collins will be contacting you over the next several weeks to discuss your participation in the 2013 guide.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact either of us at 574-269-6090 or 800-800-6090.  Thank you for your support of this publication and for your continued support of tourism in Kosciusko County.
