Visit 'Hands On Parade' For A Chance At A PrizeIn January, the Warsaw/Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce rolled out a countywide community art project called “Hands Across Kosciusko” to commemorate its 100 years of service to Kosciusko County. Nineteen total sculptures have been sponsored from throughout the county. The Chamber is so proud of them that they created a traveling exhibit called “Hands on Parade” with the help of Kerlin Motors and Lake City Bank. Kerlin Motors provided a flatbed to mount the sculptures, and Lake City Bank customized the flatbed and will be transporting the traveling exhibit through the parades and to other events in the county so the public can see these sculptures. The exhibit has been through the Milford parade and will be in the Mentone Egg Festival parade Saturday. Be sure to check out the entire list of events and parades on the Chamber’s website. Visit all the parades this summer and win a prize - prove it by collecting wooden tokens from each community’s parade. Other parades and festivals where tokens can be collected include North Webster and Silver Lake June 18; Winona Lake July 2; Syracuse Summerfest July 9; Warsaw July 10; and Pierceton Aug. 6. For more information on the community art project or the parade game, visit www.wkchamber.com/Events or call the Chamber at 574-267-6311. Milford and Leesburg’s parades took place over Memorial Day. Tokens for Milford are available at the Lake City Bank in town. Tokens for Leesburg will be available at the Lake City Bank location on Ind. 15N in Warsaw.
