Virginia Murphy Barton Worley, 88, formerly of Warsaw, passed away in her sleep Aug. 3, 2009, in her residence in St. Petersburg, Fla.
She enjoyed 27 years of retirement from General Electric on Taylor Street. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Carl Barton and Harold Worley.
Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Hess, Marana, Ariz.; a son, Harold Barton, LaGrange; two sisters, Dorothy Murphy and Evelyn Brickley, both of Fort Wayne; a niece, Melody Murphy Rosenberg, Gulfport, Fla.; two granddaughters, Tina Ressler, Phoenix, Ariz., and Dawn Schombert, Marana, Ariz.; seven great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Murphy, and a granddaughter, Bobby Kahn.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who knew her well.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. Aug. 31 at Fairview Cemetery, Lot 6, Ind. 124, Bluffton.
