Virginia Man Arrested On Indecency Charge

Posted

After receiving a call that a naked man was running around in the area of the Ramada Inn, police arrested a Virginia man on a charge of public indecency.

Bill Edward Carl, 45, of Luray, Va., also was charged with public intoxication. He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 12:30 a.m. today. Bond was set at $225.

According to a Warsaw Police Department report, the manager of Dollar Inn reported seeing a naked male running north from the hotel about 11:20 p.m. Monday. Police checked the area where the man was last seen, but didn't locate him. He was found nearby, lying in the weeds.

Carl reportedly told police that he drank about six gin and tonic drinks, wandered outside his room at Ramada Inn and was locked out.

However, when a manager went to the room with police to retrieve clothing for Carl, the door wasn't latched and entry was made without the use of a key.
