ROCHESTER – Virginia L. Scott, 87, Warsaw, and formerly of Rochester, passed away peacefully at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 31, 2016, at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw. She was born Feb. 3, 1928, in Chicago, to Milo and Esther Hair. On June 29, 1946, she married the love of her life, Eugene “Scotty” Scott, who preceded her in death Nov. 28, 2002. She spent many wonderful evenings on the dance floor with Scotty. While she enjoyed dressing up and socializing, she could roof a house with the best of them, often helping to build their early homes. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, and watching live theater, especially when her grandson was performing. She will be lovingly remembered by her two children, Kevin (and spouse Lynnette) Scott, Warsaw, and Doug (and spouse Ellen) Scott, Rochester; a granddaughter, Stephanie (and spouse Rich) Rensberger, Kewanna; three grandsons: Skye Scott, New York City; Steven Scott, Rochester; and Bryce Scott, Louisville, Ky. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Jim and Claude Hair. Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Brothers Funeral Home, Rochester.
