Virginia Duncan ShanbeckVirginia Pittman Duncan Shanbeck, age 83, and previously of Warsaw, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021, in her Dade City, Fla., home.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles W. and Helen Virgin Pittman. She was born in Flushing, Long Island, N.Y. Known as the “Dutchess of Duncan” when she was a stunt driver, “Ginger” or “Jinny,” as many knew Virginia, she was retired as a police officer from Tampa International Airport.
She is survived by a sister, Carolyn (Bob) Roe, of Leesburg, Fla.; two sons: Leland and Andy Duncan, of South Carolina; four beloved grandchildren: Brooke, Shea, Samantha and Tanner; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many cousins. She is also survived by a family of special friends, the Farrens, of Concord, N.C.
A memorial service will be held at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw, on Saturday, June 12 at 11a.m. Visitation will take place for one hour prior with interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
