NAPPANEE - Virgil L. Fisher, 71, of 711 S. Madison St., Nappanee, died at 7 p.m. March 24, 2008, in his residence.
He was born June 18, 1936, in Elkhart County, to Everett and Dorothy Adams Fisher. On May 28, 1958, in Columbia City, he married Judy Braddock, who survives.
A lifetime area resident, he owned and operated Virg's Two-Way Radio, Nappanee, for 15 years. A truck driver and mechanic since 1964, he drove for Bontragers, DNA and McCarthy Leasing. He attended Living Gospel Church.
Also surviving are two daughters, Vonda (Stephen) Maust, Millersburg, and Monica (and spouse Phil) Casa, Bristol; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jackie Zinkiw, Beverly (and spouse Fred) Johnson and Sallee Black, all of Nappanee; and four brothers, John (and spouse Kay) Fisher, Randy (and spouse Sharon) Fisher and Denny (and spouse Beth) Fisher, all of Nappanee, and Reggie (and spouse Denise) Fisher, Bristol. He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, three great-grandchildren and a brother.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with Steve Herbster officiating. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
