VIP Night Kicks Off Homes On Parade Weekend

Posted
The excitement was palpable Thursday night as the VIP night was held for the 2010 Homes On Parade.

At one home on the tour, built by Inglenook LLC, the owner, Terry Hand, was working to clean up the garage before guests arrived on a shuttle bus provided by the Kosciusko Area Bus Service.

It was all part of the VIP night in which people were treated to a dinner held at Lakeland Christian Academy.

There was also a silent auction.

After the dinner, guests were taken to the five different homes that make up this year's Parade of Homes.

This year, Parade of Homes consists of five different homes at five different sites by four different builders.

The first home on the tour is by JC Hamman Construction and is on Lake Wawasee at 11108 N. Ideal Beach Drive, Syracuse.

The second home is also built by JC Hamman Construction and is on Tippecanoe Lake at 23 EMS T34D Lane, Leesburg.

Both homes were designed by Wyatt Designs.

The third home on the tour takes guests to the addition of Barrington Hills.

The home, at 35 E. Barrington Place, Warsaw, was built by Granite Ridge Builders.

The fourth home on parade is the Inglenook LLC home tucked back on Briarwood Drive in Warsaw.

Hand said he felt Inglenook did a great job and was pleased to be able to show his home on the parade.

The tour concludes at 1847 E. Pierceton Road, Warsaw, with a home built by Renewal Homes.

For those who missed out on Thursday night's VIP night, they can still check out the five homes on the parade all this weekend.

The hours for the event are 1 to 8 p.m. today and Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Parade tickets and books are available for presale at The Builders Association of Kosciusko-Fulton Counties office, 313 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw.

Tickets and parade books are also available at the Times-Union office at the corner of Market and Indiana streets in Warsaw; all three Penguin Point locations in Warsaw; the Penguin Point in Syracuse; as well as Zale Drugs in Warsaw.

During the parade, tickets will be available at each of the homes during parade hours.

Each ticket is good to see one home each. The event is designed for people in the market for a new home, those looking to make some changes to their new home or people who are just interested in looking at unique and new homes.
