Viola Marie Summy, 90, a longtime resident of Warsaw, passed away quietly on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
Viola was born Nov. 15, 1927, in Bremen. She was the daughter of Cleo Huffman and his wife, Anna Mason Huffman. She attended schools in Atwood and was married to the former Clyde H. Summy on Nov. 15, 1949. Of their marriage came two sons, Paul C. and Thomas L. Summy.
Viola was a homemaker and a caring person. She and her family formerly attended Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw. She enjoyed reading, square dancing and was a decent cook.
She is survived by grandsons Paul and Ryan Summy and by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; her sons, Paul and Thomas; and by two brothers, Charles and Marvin Huffman.
Those closest to Viola will celebrate her life privately.
She will be buried in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery.
