Viking RBs Share Load, AwardAKRON – A trio of Tippecanoe Valley juniors combined for 87 percent of the Viking offense on 31 carries, out of 51 plays, to lead Valley to a come-from-behind win at Rochester in Three Rivers Conference football Friday night.
For their combined effort, Jaydin Conley, Dakota Gaff and Jacob Eherenman have been named Times-Union Co-Athletes of the Week for Sept. 16-21.
Conley rushed for 114 yards on 16 carries and scored a touchdown. Gaff had 88 yards on eight totes and scored the tying and go-ahead touchdowns in the Vikings’ 34-14 win. Eherenman added 52 yards on seven carries and a TD of his own. The trio averaged better than eight yards every time they carried the ball for Valley. With the win, the vikings remain in a first-place tie in the TRC with Southwood.
