Third-grade students at Pierceton Elementary School honored veterans on Veterans Day by carrying flags as they walked the track during their recess time. Third-graders enjoy being a part of Mile Maker Club and may choose to walk during their recess time each day. They have logged hundreds of miles with top walkers logging more than 20 miles. This is another way to encourage healthy choices for students at school.
