SYRACUSE – Vera Hall, 91, Syracuse, passed away Sept. 21, 2015, in her residence.  
She was born June 22, 1924, in Greenwood, Ontario, Canada, to Gilbert and Olive Hocking Champion. On May 13, 1945, she married Eugene Hall, who preceded her in death in 1983.  
She retired from the Wawasee School corporation in 1987. She was a long-time member of the St. Andrews United Methodist Church where she served on numerous committees over the years. She was very active in the Church’s thrift shop.  
Survivors are: her daughter, Benji (and spouse Dale) Ganz, Syracuse; her son, Thomas (and spouse Marilyn) Hall, Estero, Fla.; two granddaughters, Ashley (and spouse Andy) Misner, Auburn; and Kendra (and spouse Alex) Kock, Chicago; a stepgranddaughter, Tanya Giroux, Fort Wayne; and a great-granddaughter, Madison Misner. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.  
Services will be at noon Saturday at the St. Andrews United Methodist Church. Burial is in Calumet Cemetery, Merrillville, at a later date.
Calling is from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the service Saturday.
