Velma L. Gruenewald, 94, of Winona Lake, died at 1:55 a.m. July 11, 2013, in Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake.
She was born May 3, 1919, in Etna Green, to Fred C. and E. Fern Yeiter Williamson.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she was a 1937 graduate of Atwood High School and was an assembler at Da-Lite Screen for 14 years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Warsaw, and The Thursday Morning Circle of the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed quilting and traveling after she retired. She was a hard worker and a great mom who thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Surviving are three sons: Lowell (and spouse Vera) Gruenewald, Claypool; Dennis (and spouse Patricia) Gruenewald, Woodbury, Minn.; and Warren (and spouse Kathy) Gruenewald, Winona Lake; seven grandchildren: Alissa Gruenewald and Jeff (and spouse Kayla) Gruenewald, all of Claypool; Ryan Gruenewald, South Bend; Steven (and spouse Heather) Gruenewald, Berkley, Minn.; Amanda (and spouse Bob) Michels, Woodbury, Minn.; and Kaitlin and Garrett Gruenewald, both of Winona Lake; two great-grandchildren, Robby and Izzy; two brothers, Ray (and spouse Denise) Williamson, Atwood, and Arden (and spouse Maxine) Williamson, Pierceton; and a sister, Lucille (and spouse Glenn) Grimm, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester (and spouse Helen) Williamson and George (and spouse Doris) Williamson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Toni Carmer of First United Methodist Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood.
Calling is from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
